Biography

Before selling their island to the Dutch, the natives called it "manna-hatta", or “on the water” but also a place of exhilaration. I return there with great pleasure 3-4 times a year and exhilaration is always in the air.

Dario Salvatori is a critic and reviewer, music historian, and a TV writer and presenter. He has worked for Rai since the late sixties and has launched hundreds of radio programmes. His work on TV has brought him to frequently work with Renzo Arbore (“L’Altra Domenica”, 1976; “Quelli della notte”, 1985; “Meno siamo meglio stiamo”, 2005), as well as numerous programmes of which he was both writer and presenter, including the long-running “Famosi per 15 minuti (Famous for 15 minutes)” series. He has published over 40 books and his latest is “Il Salvatori 2016? (published by Clichy Edizioni).
