Aqua Film Festival The first edition at Rome from 6th-9th October 2016

The first edition of the Aqua Film Festival will be held at the Casa del Cinema in Rome from 6th-9th October. It is a festival dedicated to the precious, pure and crystal-clear element and source of life that is water. There will also be an extensive programme of symposiums, workshops, seminars, talks, meetings, roundtables, exhibitions, parades, projections and specialized courses – including those for kids – on the theme of water, interpreted in its various forms and functions. The project is the brainchild of Eleonora Vallone, actress, journalist and an expert on methodologies in water.

The festival will be divided in thematic areas such as sport, science, culture, fashion, arts and performance and promotes a film competition on 3 topics regarding the following; Fresh water, Sea water and Spring water, divided in two sections: short films of a maximum of 25 minutes and ‘short shorts’ of a maximum of 3 minutes, also made with mobile phones.

As from the of 15th March it will be possible to send ones works to participate in the two sections, shorts and short shorts contacting aff@aquafilmfestival.org and visiting our site www.aquafilmfestival.org

“The Aqua Film Festival – in the words of the artistic director, aims to enhance the element of water as a source of life , energy, health, memory, to love, respect and fear through images in movement captured by man as a social message of freedom of sport, of art, awakening the awareness of those who have in abundance and helping those who are lacking. Particular attention will be given to the work of the navy whose daily control and defence saves thousands of human lives every year and protects this huge heritage.

Thanks to the patronage of CONI (Italian Olympic Games Committee), we will underline the importance of water sports for our health and knowledge of nature, as well as hosting the great champions who have made us proud all over the world. The Aqua Film Festival is organized by the Voluntary Association Universal Aqua, which pools together experts and specialized workers from various areas that represent water as a spectacle in its different daily aspects. Patronages with the Fondation Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of the Environment, Mibact and other prestigious sponsors.
