  3. Thermal Water has historically provided cures and relief for our bodies

Water is one of the indispensable elements that assures each and everyone the universal human right “to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family”. (Article 25, Universal Declaration of Human Rights). There are about 1.4 billion km3 of water on earth, of which 97% is in the oceans.

The history of humanity and the scientific genesis of life itself depend on water, and along with the air we breathe, it is our main source of survival. The importance of this mother element assumes numerous forms and implications and embodies a permanent and fundamental axis in the economies, social balance and cultural identities of the planet.

Through the means of film and documentaries, the AquaFilmFestival aims to represent the extraordinary world of water, its various values and uses.

  • Water as an environmental heritage and the origin of life
  • Water as a source of health and well-being
  • Water being the theatre for the commitment and activity for millions of people
